It’s NAIDOC Week from 5-12 July. Get ready to celebrate 50 Years of Deadly! We share what’s on – and how you can get involved.
Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) is proud to recognise and celebrate National NAIDOC Week, held annually across Australia in the first week of July.
Our vision for reconciliation is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have equal access to high quality primary health care and experience improved health and wellbeing. This is integral to what we promote as part of our Reconciliation Action Plan, and First Nations Health Equity Strategy.
NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate and recognise the history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It provides an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and to participate in celebrations of the oldest continuous living cultures on earth.
Through NAIDOC Week, communities across the country come together to honour the strength, resilience and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while supporting greater understanding, respect and connection.
This year, GCPHN is proud to be involved in local NAIDOC Week events alongside Kalwun, strengthening our commitment to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing and fostering meaningful partnerships within the community.
We hope to see you out and about this NAIDOC Week!
