MyMedicare enhances continuity of care for patients with their chosen general practice and healthcare providers, allowing for longer MBS-funded telehealth consultations and increased bulk billing incentives for children under 16, pensioners, and concession card holders. It also provides practices and healthcare providers with more patient information to tailor services effectively, along with access to new telehealth items and additional incentives.

Healthcare providers eligible for MyMedicare must:
Vocationally registered GPs, non-vocationally registered GPs, and GP registrars can be selected as a patient’s preferred GP. Please note at the end of the GP registrar’s tenure, the patient can choose to re-register with the provider at a different practice or register with a different provider at the same practice.
