Promoting Participation in the National Immunisation Program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge that can be applied to their day-to-day work and will help support a change of practice within their health organisation. By encouraging colleagues and peers to modify and change their current ways of practice they can make immunisation activities more conducive to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
On completion of the program students will have the skills and knowledge to work directly with patients, clients, families and communities to provide advice and encouragement to ultimately improve immunisation rates for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Delivered 100% online and free to complete, the Foundations of Chronic Disease course is aimed at a range of health professionals working within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health, or have Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients. The course aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to provide foundation chronic disease education, understand the burden of chronic disease and the impact on Australia, and identify chronic disease models and the tools and resources used in managing chronic conditions in the primary healthcare arena. It also allows the student to build and embed foundational knowledge to allow advancement to further learning workshops.

“The Starter Pack” is a free educational package designed to assist general practice managers, practice nurses, Aboriginal Health and Social and Emotional Wellbeing Workers and practice reception staff to build the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively respond to patients experiencing problematic alcohol and other drug (AOD) use in Queensland.
The package comprises nine brief education activities – an introductory eLearning module and eight live and recorded lunchbox education sessions – designed specifically for primary care practice staff.
