APNA at the request of and with funding from GSK has developed this comprehensive new module to support primary health care nurses with an understanding of meningococcal disease, the burden of disease and immunisation choices to assist in prevention.

This course provides general information on COVID-19 and specific information on storage, handling and administration of the vaccine, recording and monitoring including for adverse events following immunization (AEFI), and communication (acceptance and demand) through a series of short video lectures and quizzes to test your knowledge. This course is primarily for frontline health workers who will be vaccinators and priority recipients.

This course looks at; Australian general practice funding, provides an introduction to the financing of healthcare, funding mechanisms, changes to financing in Australia and funding for practice nurses.

This session will offer an in-depth overview on burnout, workplace stress and self-care, but more importantly will provide tools and workshop strategies to prevent and conquer burnout!

Targeted at nurses working in primary health care including general practice, this module is designed to support you with an understanding of telephone triage.

The aim of this learning activity is to develop confidence and expand the basic knowledge of primary health care nurses in the use of the My Health Record system.
