Gold Coast Primary Health Network commissions a range of services including local mental health, alcohol and other drugs, suicide prevention and chronic disease services to meet different needs of people in the Gold Coast region. Our commissioned services are available at no cost to patients.
The Psychological Services Program (PSP) is a moderate intensity service that offers short term structured psychological therapies delivered by a range of providers contracted by the Gold Coast Primary Health Network.
The Psychological Services Program (PSP) offers short term structured psychological therapies delivered by a range of providers contracted by the Gold Coast Primary Health Network. The program supports people who have a health care card and would benefit from receiving short term therapy for moderate mental health needs. This program is not suitable for people that may need longer term and more comprehensive interventions.
The program is available for people who identify with any of the following groups:

Clients in the above categories must be referred to more appropriate mental health services; e.g. Better Access, medical assessment, acute mental health services, etc.

The Community Pathway Connector is a low to moderate intensity service which provides a culturally safe connection point and referral service for people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or who have specific cultural needs.

The program supports people and agencies across the community sector to respond to individuals and families who are seeking support for a variety of needs in a culturally safe, welcoming and easily accessible way. The Community Pathway Connector program seeks to assist people through tailored information, one on one support to navigate the service system to best meet needs, working with interpreters and linking with cultural awareness education as needed.
