The “Turning Pain into Gain” Persistent Pain Program aims to help persistent pain sufferers become better managers of their pain through the education program, individual case management, support, goal setting and improved use of community health services.
The “Turning Pain into Gain” Persistent Pain Program aims to help persistent pain sufferers become better managers of their pain through the education program, individual case management, support, goal setting and improved use of community health services.
The program is designed so that peoples can explore a range of different strategies for living well despite pain, in the hope of leading to reduced reliance on medication for pain management, reduced requirements for emergency care and living a better quality of life.

The service is available for a period of up to 12 months.
The initial and ongoing service assessments are held at our Varsity Lakes office. Education pain programs will be held in a variety of venues in Robina and Coolangatta. Programs will run in the mornings from 10am to 12 noon.

Gold Coast Primary Health Network is trialing a program, to help people in their early stages of an injury, to have the right strategies to help a patient return to function quickly so that the impact of an injury to day-to-day life is prevented.
Early access and help soon after sustaining an injury can make a huge difference to the quality of life for individuals so that their lives may not be impacted by ongoing pain.
The program includes group educational program with strategies to help individuals recover quickly, access to allied health professionals who specialise in recovery and pain management and a development of tailored management plans.
The program supports multidisciplinary strategies so that participants can explore a range of different approached to optimising their recovery and resolve pain promptly.
