Psychosocial support is a high intensity service which provides practical assistance and personalised support to people experiencing the impacts of significant mental health needs and who would like assistance with their recovery journey.
Psychosocial support provides practical assistance and personalised support to people experiencing the impacts of significant mental health needs and who would like assistance with their recovery journey. These services include activities such as life skills development, employment and education goals and learning how to maintain health and wellbeing. Offering both individual and group support, the programs aim to assist people in gaining life skills such as cooking, money management, managing stress and much more.

The Community Pathway Connector, low to high intensity service, program provides a culturally safe connection point and referral service for people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or who have specific cultural needs.

The program supports people and agencies across the community sector to respond to individuals and families who are seeking support for a variety of needs that is culturally safe, welcoming and easily accessible. The Community Pathway Connector program seeks to assist people through tailored information, one on one support to navigate the service system to best meet needs, working with interpreters and linking with cultural awareness education as needed.

After Hours Drop-In Service is a low to high intensity service that offers a confidential safe haven community safe space for people who are seeking a supportive and friendly space to be during times of distress.
After Hours Drop-In Service is a confidential safe haven community safe space for people who are seeking a supportive and friendly space to be during times of distress. People do not need to have a referral or appointment to access the service. In this space there are peer workers and clinical staff available to talk to.

These services provide treatment and support for people who are impacted by alcohol or drugs including support for people with mental health problems associated with drugs and alcohol use. Treatment and support aims to reduce harm and help individuals to achieve their recovery goals.
The programs work within a social and emotional wellbeing framework and help to empower people to self-manage and make decisions about their own health at their own pace. These services also offer a person and family centred approach to providing care and are able to link to a range of internal and external additional supports.

The “Turning Pain into Gain” Persistent Pain Program aims to help persistent pain sufferers become better managers of their pain through the education program, individual case management, support, goal setting and improved use of community health services.
The “Turning Pain into Gain” Persistent Pain Program aims to help persistent pain sufferers become better managers of their pain through the education program, individual case management, support, goal setting and improved use of community health services.
The program is designed so that peoples can explore a range of different strategies for living well despite pain, in the hope of leading to reduced reliance on medication for pain management, reduced requirements for emergency care and living a better quality of life.

The service is available for a period of up to 12 months.
The initial and ongoing service assessments are held at our Varsity Lakes office. Education pain programs will be held in a variety of venues in Robina and Coolangatta. Programs will run in the mornings from 10am to 12 noon.

The Way Back Support Service (The Way Back) is a low to high intensity non-clinical psychosocial support and transition service for people who may have recently attempted suicide or are at risk of suicide and have presented to either Robina Hospital or Gold Coast University Hospital.
People who have attempted suicide or experienced a suicidal crisis often experience severe distress in the days and weeks immediately afterwards, and they are at high risk of attempting again.
Beyond Blue developed The Way Back Support Service to support them through this critical risk period. The Way Back provides non-clinical, tailored support for up to three months following discharge from hospital after a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis.
A Support Facilitator contacts the person within one business day of receiving their referral and tailors a program for up to three months after discharge from hospital which includes building a personalised safety plan and linking them to health and community services and clinical care if needed.

Wesley Mission Queensland
Gold Coast Primary Health Network is trialing a program, to help people in their early stages of an injury, to have the right strategies to help a patient return to function quickly so that the impact of an injury to day-to-day life is prevented.
Early access and help soon after sustaining an injury can make a huge difference to the quality of life for individuals so that their lives may not be impacted by ongoing pain.
The program includes group educational program with strategies to help individuals recover quickly, access to allied health professionals who specialise in recovery and pain management and a development of tailored management plans.
The program supports multidisciplinary strategies so that participants can explore a range of different approached to optimising their recovery and resolve pain promptly.
